Given the recent appointment of Sun Times editor Micheal DenTandt to become Regional Editor for central Ontario while still retaining his current duties in Owen Sound and the decline of the Sun Times in quality(both from a local news perspective/advertising decline). It is pretty obvious that shortly the OS Sun times will either close down or be so Out-sourced that it will no longer be a "Local paper". Given that the Localmotive project is about revitilazing our local economy is it not time to prehaps explore the possibility of creating a new local paper(Weekly/daily) that has an editoral perspective that goes beyond the traditional Left/right point of view and has the support of the local community in advertising. Maybe papers are a dying thing or maybe not, thoughts?
