Building resilience in the Saugeen Region.
I've just discovered this website that allows members to share things like tools, books, movies etc. with Facebook friends. I think those of us on both networks should consider joining and taking full advantage of our shared resources.
From the website:
Do you believe in ecoSharing?
We all have bought items that we rarely use (gardening tools, DIY tools, books, DVDs...).
It would make sense to share these items with our friends, work colleagues and neighbours. Easier said than done, right? How do I know who has the item I am looking for? How do I know whether they would be willing to share it? We sometimes don't bother asking all our friends and end up buying items that surely we could have borrowed from someone else.
Well! The ecoSharing facebook application is the solution to facilitate sharing with your facebook friends. It's free, it'ssafe(you only share items with your facebook friends and you can decide who, within your Facebook friends, will be able to view your items). It will help yousave money, willreduce your carbon footprint, willstrengthen the relationships you have with your facebook friends, and will give you access toa lot more itemswithout clogging up your house/garage.
