The LocalMotive Project

Building resilience in the Saugeen Region.

Ann Hagedorn suggested Tim Dyck might be amenable to our putting up something about Transition Durham on the mural wall next door to me on Garafraxa. St. I  explored the idea with Tim and he's good with it. I wrote something about this awhile ago but it seems not to be posted here anymore, how does that happen? Any how I have left some names of groups who are doing something for Durham that's "community building" in nature, and he is getting a sketch of what we might put up as a mural to show these groups and the Municipality for approval. If you have any ideas whom we might include please let me know  donato@donatopoetry.com  or  519 369 6298

HI Donato and others of the LocalMotive Project for Durham. Donato, I wondered two things--one: does one need to be a professional artist to help? two: I see drum circles that have been happening as well as the Contra dances as wonderful community events--can they be portrayed in this mural? I am a newbie artist and have done some posters for my events and others so thought to express and share but if top quality is needed then I'll allow others more experienced to proceed.
Oh, about bikes and trails and racks, an education day, etcetera...Would you be willing to meet with me to discuss and plan some action with these? How 'bout at Chickory? I am open most afternoons...Let me know...Janet (I am alright to share this on this site as it shows the scenes and growth behind this Project.
