What are the roles and opportunities for cultural workers/groups in the whole transition process?

Welcome to the Transition Culture Group!

First, Full Disclosure: I currently serve as Vice President of the Grey Bruce Cultural Network, which is developing the next major roll-out of cultural services here with opportunities for all to fully participate.

We cultural workers, artists, craftspeople, historians, writers, theatre groups, musicians and all disciplines have a central role to play in the critical and integrative assessments and presentations of the meaning and possibilities of the change necessities and opportunities that face us, and that we define together. Cultural workers, and the transitional, whole being, community-wide understandings and celebrations are key to maximizing opportunities for all, both through and following the transition, while encouraging and contributing to the media for the wider social engagement needed to bring the best transition results.

That's a too wordy opening premise! Have at it!! How do we re-imagine our community/communities and find the rituals and celebrations needed for success?
