The LocalMotive Project

Building resilience in the Saugeen Region.

Hi all,

I've attached an article about a Seed CSA I have been developing with a number of growers in Southwestern Ontario.  Although it is not limited to Grey-Bruce, it will be centred here at my farm, and will include some local members.  It is a start, and as capacity grows, and we have more growers in our region, it will be a model we can take to become more localized.  I have a friend who is a chef in Guelph who is going to be holding a fundraising dinner here at my farm in August.  We are hoping to raise money to purchase a proper seed cleaner.  Please pass the news along to anyone who it might resonate with.

hello Cory! hope you're well.

I'm just checking in to see what's required to be able to participate as a home gardener. I'm not a brilliant grower but I generally have good luck with tomatoes and can get reliably healthy plants from the seeds I save. since I've missed 2 years of gardening, this year I'll be starting with fresh organic seed from High Mowing and will be seed saving from my crop.

I saw the reply thread with Monica et. al. but it looks like I'm late to that party.

PS - I tried sending an email to your bmts account but it bounced - is it still active?
