Welcome Irv. You are welcome to come to the regional meeting but it will be quite narrowly focused and not likely the best way to get an introduction to the LocalMotive project.

There are interested folks in Kincardine who we should look up and see if there's interest in getting a group fired up. The last attempt failed due to busy schedules and people moving. Let me see what I can dig up.

Hi Shane,

thanks for the invitation to your Regional Strategy meeting. I only found out about the LocalMotive Project a couple of weeks ago and I am not sure that what sounds like a pretty high level meeting is the right place for a first introduction to what you are doing.

I found out about Peak Oil about 10 year ago and I first heard about the Transition Towns movement 2or 3 years ago, but lately I've been doing some more research and I think I might like to become involved. I am reading the Transistion Handbook at the moment, just started the Hands section. So time for some action, I guess. Not sure if I'll fit in, but willing to give it a try.

I live in Kincardine and snooping around the Project website, I see that some attempt was made to set up Transition Town Kincardine about a year ago, but it doesn't appear that much came of it. Maybe you could fill me in on what's going on there and what I could do to help.

I'd like to share information about GBsusNet and the projects that have been going on in Brockton and how to collaborate on regional ideas, networks, etc. It will be great to get together in Owen Sound....hope to confirm in a couple of days. Should we bring anything? snacks? Anyone else coming from the south end let's cpool. Thanks for organizing Shane.
